Director of Finance

As the Finance Director at Praxis, Danae oversees the strategic direction and management of the organization’s financial operations. With over 15 years of experience in nonprofit financial management, she excels in navigating complex financial landscapes and driving success through effective communication, organizational culture, and precise financial analysis. Danae’s previous roles at MakeWay Foundation,Simon Fraser University, the City of Vancouver, and the Resort Municipality of Whistler have equipped her with the expertise to offer insightful financial counsel to the senior management team and Board of Directors. She is dedicated to ensuring that Praxis maintains robust financial discipline and supports its ongoing strategic initiatives. Danae holds a Bachelor of Technology in Accounting from BCIT and earned  her Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 2021.
